We were honored to welcome the Mother General of the Little Sisters of the Poor, Mother Maria del Monte Auxiliadora and Assistant to the Mother General, Mother Joseph Christine to Sacred Heart Residence! Mother General is traveling from France to the United States to visit all the homes within the Chicago Province over the next few weeks.
We had such a wonderful visit from Mother General Maria this week at Sacred Heart Residence! It was really special having her with us—she brought so much warmth, joy, and encouragement to everyone she met. You could see how much she loves the mission and the residents we serve. We are so grateful for the time we spent together and for all the little moments that made the visit so meaningful.
We want to thank all those who helped plan and take part in this special week. There were so many wonderful moments – the cheerful welcome, beautiful mass, excellent play, entertaining reception, visiting with residents, family, and staff, and so much more! We will all cherish the memories of this visit for a very long time!
We pray for Mother General Maria and Mother Assistant Joseph Christine as they continue their travels to our homes across the United States. And we thank them for this incredibly special visit! What a blessing for our community!
