54th Annual Little Sisters of the Poor Lawn Party

By October 1, 2025October 3rd, 2025No Comments

The 54th Annual Little Sisters of the Poor Lawn Party is set for Sunday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sacred Heart Residence!

This is the single largest fundraiser that we do each year, and it has become a well-known tradition within the community. The first Lawn Party was fifty-four years ago in 1971! Each year we bring the community together to enjoy delicious food, live music, games, raffles, bingo, a white elephant sale, plant sale, bake sale and so much more! All the money raised goes to supporting our Home at Sacred Heart Residence.

Our food court at the Lawn Party always has  delicious food! There will be fried fish plates, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried Oreos, beignets, sausage, nachos, French fries, ice cream (from Cammie’s Old Dutch), and some of Naman’s famous crab bisque and gumbo! In the auditorium we have the best bake sale around with delicious cakes, pies and sweets prepared right here in our own kitchen! “The food is always fantastic” says Resident Pat Forrest. “And the raffles are always a lot of fun!”

Besides all the amazing food, there will also be live music from local musicians Emily Stuckey, Jeremy Ault, Gabe Willis, and Matthew Jacquette. We will also have music from our very own music therapist Brian Fulmer playing his saxophone to start the day! The day will conclude with the local high school, McGill-Toolen Marching Band, putting on a performance.

We also have kids’ games, inflatables, a petting zoo, hayrides, a mega raffle for a chance to win $10,000 and so much more!

It is a wonderful day for everyone of all ages to enjoy a fun-filled day while supporting the mission of the Little Sisters! This is always one of the best days of the year and we can’t wait to see everyone at the Lawn Party!!
