The 54th Annual Little Sisters of the Poor Lawn Party was a HUGE success!! Each year our lawn party serves as our largest single fundraising event, and we are so thankful for the community for supporting our Home!
Thousands from all over the Gulf Coast came to enjoy a beautiful day of food, fellowship, and fun! Our food court had so many delicious options: hamburgers, hot dogs, gumbo, crab bisque, nachos, fried fish, BBQ pork, beignets, fried Oreos, polish sausage, cotton candy and more! We even had a special ice cream flavor made just for the Lawn Party called Nun-Better that was phenomenal (it was strawberry ice cream with Oreo, cookie dough, and chocolate flakes)!
Besides the food, we had live music, kids’ games, a petting zoo, homemade bake goods, a white elephant sale, bingo, hayrides, vendor booths, a plant sale, raffles, and even a vintage motorcycle show!
None of this would have been possible without the help of the amazing staff at Sacred Heart Residence, our volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and the support of the community. Thank you to all the businesses, local schools, churches, and groups who helped make this such a wonderful event! We are already looking forward to next year!
