Happy Feast of St. Joseph Day! And what a special day it was! We were honored to have Archbishop Rivituso along with Fr. Pat Arensberg (Corpus Christi Parish), Fr. Victor Ingalls (Prince of Peace Parish), Fr. Patrick Driscoll (St. Dominic Parish), Fr. Stephen Vrazel (St. Mary Parish), and Fr. Fred Boni (St. Catherine of Siena Parish) come to Sacred Heart Residence and serve lunch to our Residents to celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph.
This was a tradition started nearly one hundred years ago when Archbishop Thomas J. Toolen began serving the Residents at the Little Sisters to carry out the ministry of Christ on St. Joseph’s Feast Day. Through the years he was joined by more priests from the diocese and over the years each Bishop and Archbishop followed in his footsteps.
This year, we brought that tradition back as we enjoyed a beautiful day of service, gratitude, and joy with the Archbishop, priests, Sisters, and Residents. We want to say a huge THANK YOU to Archbishop Rivituso and all the priests that joined us today (as well as Elizabeth Gelineau for the fantastic pictures). It was a truly glorious Feast Day and an unforgettable day for our Sacred Heart Residence Family!
